Get Involved!

Whether time, money, in-kind donations, referrals, or outreach, Adapted Child’s Play can use your help. A difference is made when a person reaches out and offers the gifts given to them for the benefit of someone else. Adapted Child’s Play relies on donations from the community to sustain the many different programs available to area families.

Volunteers
Opportunities are available to volunteer with our teachers and therapist working with children with special needs and able bodied. We offer programs during the school year at schools, homes, and parks  in Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, and Escondido.

Adapted Aquatic Volunteers
Volunteers assist in the water with our trained instructors. Our volunteers are how we are able to do what we do for the children. Volunteers help our swimmers have their aquatic experience. Volunteers help to guide and assist the swimmer while in the and out of the water. If you have any time on your weekends or afternoons we could use your help. It is a great way to help a child, get some water time, and can be a chance for the family to do something together.

Adapted Aquatic volunteers must complete an application and a two-hour orientation prior to participating in the program.

Internship Opportunities:

ACP offers internships to college students who require student teaching and internship hours is the fields of adapted physical education, adapted aquatics, occupational and physical therapy
